LHP Hospital Group, Inc. (LHP) and Hackensack University Medical Center, announced that they had applied for a certificate of need with the New Jersey Department of Health and the Office of High certificate of need and licensure of health services to complete a transfer of ownership of Mountain Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. Mountainside Hospital is currently owned by merit Mountainside, LLC, a subsidiary of Kentucky-based business management systems, private hospitals of the merits of health, LLC. The application was filed on behalf of Montclair Health System, LLC, a joint effort between the hospital and HackensackUMC LHP.
